A subtle blend of the old and the new, this turn of the century home in Hawthorn was renovated to bring back its classical Victorian features, and extended to take advantage of the northern aspect, and new plunge pool. High ceilings were extended throughout the house, while in the old section, all doorways were lifted, the Victorian features of cornices, archways, and fireplaces were all reinvigorated. Some of these features we carried through to the new extension, to create a subtle changes between the old and new.
